To receive your email using another email program requires two steps. You must:
Make sure that POP is enabled in your Yahoo!7 Mail account.
Set up your email client to receive your Yahoo!7 Mail
To make sure POP is enabled for your Yahoo!7 Mail account:
Click the Options menu in the upper-left corner, and select Mail Options from the pull-down list.
From the list on the left, click POP & Forwarding.
Under „Access your Yahoo!7 Mail elsewhere” („Forwarding” for Mail Classic users), the option Access Yahoo!7 Mail via POP must be selected in order to make your account POP-enabled. If it is not selected, click the radio button next to it.
Click Save in the upper right corner.

Incoming mail server settings:
POP server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Use SSL
Port: 995
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings:
SMTP server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Use SSL
Port: 465
Use authentication
Account Name/Login Name: Your Yahoo!7 Mail ID (your email address without the „@yahoo.com”, for example, „jo.bloggs”)
Email Address: Your Yahoo!7 Mail address (for example,
[email protected])
Password: Your Yahoo!7 Mail password
Troubleshooting tips
If you can't add new POP or new SMTP servers in your mail reader program, you need to change your current mail settings to access your Yahoo!7 Mail account. Write down your current settings first you may need to revert to them later if you want to use the same program to send and receive messages from your other email addresses.
If you still can’t send Yahoo!7 Mail from your mail program, you may be accessing the Internet through an ISP that is blocking the SMTP port . If this is the case, try setting the SMTP port number to 587 when sending email via Yahoo!7's SMTP server.
