Боинг је издао упозорење да на 787 може да дође до залеђивања на мотору уколико лете на великој висини у близини олуја.
Упозорење је донето због више случајева замрзавања, приликом лета на великим висинама.
За сада Јапанци су обуставили неке интерконтиненталне летове а и друге компаније се спремају.
Исти проблем је и са 747-8.

Boeing advises airlines Friday on engine icing on Dreamliner

Boeing has advised airlines Friday about the risk of engine icing on its new 787 Dreamliner and 747-8 with carriers using engines made by General Electric and urged them to avoid flying near high-level thunderstorms. The move followed six in flight incidents between April and November where engines suffered a temporary loss of thrust while flying at high altitude. As a result of the warning Japan Airlines has pulled Dreamliners from two international routes. Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa and United Airlines are also affected.
